Romania has a huge agricultural capacity, but millions of hectares are not used. Agriculture summed up only 4.4% of GDP in 2014, the lowest point in its history according to Ziarul Financiar. The main challenge that Raiffeisen Bank is addressing: the agriculturists’ lack of investments due to difficulty in accessing available funds – “bumps and stops on their road”.
